Tuition & Financial Aid

Thank you for considering a Christian education at Central for your child.  Here we believe God has created each of our students as image-bearers of Him, and consequently has a purpose and plan for how they live out their gifts and talents, not just as adults, but even today as children. Through the lens of strong academics, we believe God draws children to himself through knowledge and learning. This belief, coupled with a faculty and staff that deeply value both the spiritual and academic growth of children, gives us great hope that our students will come to have a deep love of learning and appreciation for God's working in all aspects of the world.
We recognize that choosing a private Christian school requires many families to sacrifice. You will invest thousands of dollars in caring for your children and providing opportunities that will help them grow and thrive throughout their childhood. Thank you for considering their education as one of those important investments.

Below you will see our tuition rates, as well as different ways we seek to ease the financial burden for families. We invite you to dialogue with us about how to make Central Christian School a reality for your child.

Tuition

Central serves students starting in 3K* through 6th Grade. 3K and Junior Kindergarten (JK) families can enroll their children in a part-time (3 half or 3 full days) or full-time program. We encourage parents to choose the option that best meets the needs of their child and family, and we're grateful to offer different options as families face different seasons of life. Part-time 3K and JK students attend Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, for half days (8:20am-12:20pm) or full days (8:20am-3:20pm). Or, 3K and JK students may attend school for five full days just as our SK through 6th grade students do (8:20am-3:30pm).  Depending on the program interest among our enrolling families, all of our 3K and JK classes may serve more than one program choice, in which students are assigned a teacher in both grades through our class placement process.

*3K is for children who turn 3 by July 31. Junior Kindergarten (JK) is for those who turn 4 by July 31, and Senior Kindergarten (SK) is for those who turn 5 by July 31.

Tuition Assistance

To help make a Central Christian School education a reality for your family, we provide a limited amount of need-based financial assistance as follows:

  • Financial Aid: for SK-6th grade families, up to 50% of tuition
  • Scholarships: for 3K-6th grade families

Central partners with Blackbaud Financial Aid Management (BBFAM), a third-party organization, to manage our tuition assistance process. BBFAM will consider your assets and liabilities, W2s, and other information you submit to determine what your family can contribute toward a Central education. A recommendation is then given to our Financial Aid Committee which then determines aid and scholarship awards based on the available funds that school year. All information submitted by a family through the financial aid process is kept confidential.

If you are an applicant family and desire to apply for either form of tuition assistance (financial aid or scholarships), complete the Admissions Application for your child by January 31 ($75 fee) and complete the Financial Aid Application ($35 fee) by February 9 (BBFAM provides 24/7 online support.) **Deadlines for returning Central families are November 30, and February 1, respectively.

Financial Aid Committee decisions are communicated to families of new students as part of their Admissions Decision in March.

Late Admissions Applications will be considered on a rolling basis, and late applications for Financial Aid or Scholarships will be considered for qualifying families as funds are available.

Additional Scholarship Opportunities

MO Scholars
The Missouri Empowerment Scholarship Accounts Program, MOScholars, is a program provided by the State of Missouri, completely independent of Central Christian School's financial aid process. Families interested in the scholarship should complete a short prequalification survey for Herzog Tomorrow Foundation to be evaluated for eligibility.

Donor Scholarship Fund (for members of Central Presbyterian Church)
The Donor Scholarship Fund was created by Central Church members for Central Church families to make Christian education at CCS more accessible. If you are a member of Central Presbyterian Church and would like to apply for a DSF scholarship for your 3K-6th-grade child, you will complete the school’s financial aid application offered through the Blackbaud Financial Aid Management program as outlined above.
